Kumquat Experimentation

This week one of my adventures started at the grocery store where I purchased four kumquats to try for the first time.  Kumquats are unique citrus fruits because the outer peel is sweet, and the inner is bitter.  These pictures explain our experimentation, and the overall experience quite concisely.  

Perhaps kumquats are better put to use in a recipe- an experiment for another time.
